OIL OF THE WEEK:  LEMON OIL

Lemon Essential oil is extracted from the rind of the lemon through a process called cold press. Used to fight infectious diseases. It’s great for headaches, diabetes, high blood pressure, respiratory problems and asthma, to relieve sore throats as a gargle, helps treat blemished skin, exfoliate dead skin, reduce acne, great for improving hair appearance, great to reduce dandruff, natural bug repellant, anti-fungal, antibacterial and disinfectant.

USES: Lemon oil can be extremely toxic so it is important to dilute it the ratio is 2 drops of lemon oil per ounce of base oil. Take note that Lemon oil is a photo toxic substance which means if applied to skin and then exposed to the sun it can cause the skin to burn. Be Hair Oil uses Lemon oil as one of it’s ingredients. It helps restore shine and bounce to hair follicles. Be Full of Life oil perfume has also Lemon Oil as an ingredient and can be used as a perfume and/or a powerful anti-bacterial/anti-fungal blend. I like to carry it in my purse or in my car and apply it on my hands instead of the alcohol base antibacterial gels available in the market which are not only full of chemicals but also are very drying to my skin.

ME TIME RECIPE:

Lemon face brightening mask: Lemon can be a powerful exfoliant and skin brightener.

2 Drops of Be Full of Life Perfume Oil

2 Ounces of almond oil

2 spoonful of Almond seeds

Mix all ingredients until fully blended. With a cotton or linen cloth spread and massage over your face for 10 seconds. Then leave for 10 minutes. Rinse with cold water. Your skin will be brighter and smoother as well as amazingly clean. Make sure you apply moisturizing oil after and use sunscreen if going to the sun.

Tip for managing your energy:

Let go of judgment throughout your day.

Start with yourself. By telling kind words to yourself and looking at the mirror and being nice to yourself. When we get in the habit of being kind to ourselves and not judge our looks, faults or shortcomings and seeing ourselves as just right for our experience we will be able to let go of judging others as well and what a nice load off your shoulders that is. It takes practice, practice, practice. The better you feel the more you will want to practice it. Just like you exfoliate your skin from dead skin you can exfoliate old pre judgements in order to renew yourself each day.
